Trying to Write Again

I haven’t written in awhile.   How do you follow a post about a friend dying when it didn't turn out the way you had hoped?  I have been troubled on what to say next.  There is a huge loss in my life but more importantly, there is a far more profound absence in the lives of so many students at my old school.  I have felt paralyzed to write. 

Being among my fellow teachers has made me want to write again.  I am not making any promises.  Just please, don’t give up on me.  I miss Karen more than you will ever know.  She was a rock star when it came to teachers.  If your child ever had her, you would know what I am saying.  Goodbye my friend, I was lucky to have you in my life.  You inspired me, and the world wasn’t ready to let you go.
