A Future Letter Teachers Would Like Receive

Dear teacher,

Here is a little note of thanks for being my teacher.  Yes, you taught me about English.  Yes I learned about writing a thesis statement, the elements of a short story, the structure of a play.  But at the end of the day you taught me about life.  You taught me I could make a difference.  You showed me you cared.  You taught me to believe in myself and forget about the voices of doubt that surrounded me.  Because of you, I made choices that may not have been easy, but they challenged me and allowed me to grow and learn.  You taught me to never stop learning and to be the best version of myself that I could be.
